A System of Success

Tyann & Prince Coakley
Chicago, IL

Tyann Coakley, of Chicago, IL, has an eye for numbers and systems. It’s what she loved about her former occupation as a Certified Public Accountant, and it’s what convinced her that going into business for herself as a Primerica Representative was the right choice.

“Once I saw Primerica’s system and understood how it worked, I realized I could make this business work for my family’s future,” she explains. “What really sealed the deal for me though was the education my husband, Prince, and I got from the Representative who trained us.”

Although she had worked in finance for 12 years, Tyann was shocked to learn The Rule of 72 – a financial concept that helps you determine how long it will take for an investment to double. “I was almost disappointed with myself that I didn’t know about it,” she recalls.

“But then I thought about how our education system is designed to teach us how to get a job, not what to do with our earnings. Primerica teaches simple HOW MONEY WORKS™ financial concepts that can help people like us make our money work for us.”

She says one of the most rewarding aspects of being part of Primerica is witnessing the impact their efforts have on the people they care about. “My best friend decided to come into the business with me because I was always talking about what I was doing,” Tyann laughs. “She was pregnant at the time and I suggested she get her life license so we could do training before the baby came. We helped her mom get a Primerica term life insurance policy that included a child rider for her brothers. Just nine days later, one of those brothers passed away in a car accident. I already knew what I was doing had an impact, but that was one of those moments for me where it really hit home that what we do for families is so important.”

The Primerica representatives featured within have achieved an extraordinary level of success that is not typical. Most representatives will not achieve such cash flow levels or earnings milestones.

From January 1 through December 31, 2021, Primerica paid cash flow to its North American sales force at an average of $8,410, which includes commissions paid on all lines of business to licensed representatives. Figures include U.S. and Canadian dollars remaining in the local currency earned by the representative, not adjusted for exchange rates.

Primerica Representatives are independent contractors and are not employees of Primerica. Representatives earn income through the sale of products and are not paid to recruit.

In Canada, the part-time opportunity may be subject to certain restrictions, depending on your occupation.

The opinions expressed are not necessarily the opinions of Primerica.

The Rule of 72 concept works from a mathematical standpoint and is not intended to represent an investment. It uses constant rates of return, unlike actual investments which will fluctuate in value. It also does not include fees or taxes, which would lower performance. It is unlikely that an investment would grow 10% or more on a consistent basis.
