Robert & Candace Kool, of Lantzville, BC, have never been afraid of hard work. The couple have always been focused on establishing financial security and independence for their family. With Primerica, they found what they’d been looking for.

Before learning about the Primerica Opportunity, Candace was a certified dental assistant who had tried different businesses. “She was driven to achieve financial success and enjoy the corresponding independence that came with it,” Robert shares. “She often had two or even three jobs. Candace has always worked very hard and has a heart for helping people.”

At the time, Robert was a year out of high school. “I taught hockey in New York during the summers and worked in restaurants in Vancouver the rest of the year,” he recalls. “I joined Primerica because the financial industry interested me as a career, and I liked the idea of helping people while being part of a competitive, yet friendly environment.”

The Kools are firm believers in entrepreneurship.

“Most people in society who are wealthy got that way through business ownership, or they inherited from someone who did,” Robert says. “We get to introduce the Opportunity and Primerica’s mission to help families have access to financial education and the right financial solutions. This really resonates with us.”

A MEANINGFUL LIFE AND LEGACY

Thanks to their incredible work ethic and Primerica’s proven success system, the Kools live the kind of life they always wanted. Robert says, “Primerica has allowed us to achieve financial independence and travel as much as we want. It has allowed us to really invest in our kids’ lives. We have the means to support things that are meaningful to us.”

Candace adds, “All five of our kids are now through university, following their career paths and doing well. Our youngest daughter and her husband, Sydney and Jonathan Wigmore, have come to work with us full-time in the business, which is really fun and rewarding.”

The Kools had their eyes set on a better future from the very beginning. “We had a note stuck to the wall near our desk where we would make calls,” Robert recalls. “It read: ‘We take the ‘No’ now, so our kids don’t have to later.’ We’ve always worked as a dually-licensed Partnership. We very much enjoy working together and playing together!
