Transferring Hope

Chris and Tarsia Gray of Abingdon, MD, took a chance on Primerica and with hard work and dedication became a true success story. Now, they want to help families change their lives and renew their hope for the future, too.

“I became a Primerica client first,” Chris recalls. “I was underinsured and overpaying for my life insurance. My Primerica Representative helped me replace my policy and talked to me about joining Primerica and coming to work with him, but I wasn’t interested at first.”

The Representative continued to tell Chris about Primerica and the benefits of building a Primerica business, but Chris was skeptical. “I didn’t believe him at first,” he admits. “I told him if he showed me a check stub showing how much he made from replacing my life policy, I’d come on board. Two weeks later he showed me a copy of the check stub. I became a believer and joined Primerica.”1, 2

Chris and his wife Tarsia haven’t looked back since. “Being part of the Primerica family freed my mentality, my wife’s mentality and my kids’ mentality,” he reveals. “We were told this was a self-improvement business with real income potential and so we just kept showing up to everything and working to become better from the inside out. Because of our hard work, we’ve been able to help my mom retire, move to the neighborhood of our dreams, give back to our church, and teach our children how to become entrepreneurs.”3

He continues, “What we love most about Primerica is the freedom of time and the financial security we’ve built. We love being our own bosses and being available to our children. We love showing our team that they can have those things, too.”

Chris and Tarsia love sharing the Primerica Opportunity with others. “When we sit with families, our number one goal is to show them that, through the Primerica Opportunity and hard work, they can have a life that they design. And that life is not based on money, but based on their goals and dreams.  We offer hope and opportunity.”

Before starting his Primerica business, Chris had a criminal justice degree and sold sausages. Tarsia was a pharmacy technician. “Primerica gave two hopeless people hope,” Chris reflects. “That hope has been transferred to our children. That hope has been transferred to our teammates. That hope has been transferred to every client we meet.  Primerica offers vision, mentorship and unlimited possibilities. We are forever grateful that we gave Primerica a chance.”

  1. Primerica representatives are independent contractors and are not employees of Primerica. Representatives earn income through the sale of products and are not paid to recruit.
  2. Recruits are not required to purchase any of the Primerica products or services to become a Primerica representative.
  3. This representative has achieved an extraordinary level of success that is not typical. Most representatives will not achieve such cash flow levels or earnings milestones. Personal cash flow levels fluctuate and these achievements do not reflect earnings of typical representatives. From January 1 through December 31, 2021, Primerica paid cash flow to its North American sales force at an average of $8,410, which includes commissions paid on all lines of business to life licensed representatives. Figures include U.S. and Canadian dollars remaining in the local currency earned by the representative, not adjusted for exchange rates.
