The Primerica Foundation Awards $50,000 Grant to Atlanta’s City of Refuge

The Primerica Foundation gifted City of Refuge a $50,000 charitable grant during Primerica’s recent 2022 Convention held in Atlanta. City of Refuge is a direct-to-recipient nonprofit organization providing immediate housing, healthcare, and other critical services to individuals and families in crisis and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

“[Primerica’s] commitment to the communities we serve extends to every area of our business from financial education to assisting vulnerable populations who need us most,” Kathryn Kieser, Primerica’s Chief Reputation Officer and Chair of The Primerica Foundation said in a press release. “Through philanthropic partners like City of Refuge, we are working to build stronger communities.”

City of Refuge founder and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Deel expressed his gratitude to Primerica and its Foundation for the monetary gift. “Primerica has been a great partner to us, and we look forward to using these funds for the families we serve.”

The organization has stated it will use the grant money to help underserved and low-to-moderate income families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency, a central focus of both City of Refuge and The Primerica Foundation.
