The Primerica Foundation Donates $25,000 to Orlando Nonprofit Fighting Hunger

Funding from The Primerica Foundation, the corporate foundation for Primerica, will provide food for 200 Central Florida schoolchildren at risk for food insufficiency when school is not in session.

During a leadership event recently held in Orlando, company leaders presented a $25,000 check from The Primerica Foundation to the Orlando chapter of Blessings in a Backpack. The nonprofit – which is mobilized in almost every state across the United States – provides food for children who are at risk of food insecurity on weekends or in the event their school is closed.

“Our focus is to help people become self-sufficient,” said Kathryn Kieser, Primerica Executive Vice President and Chair of The Primerica Foundation. “The pandemic has placed an additional strain on the food insecurity problem affecting families across the nation, and we feel it is our responsibility to support this basic need, not only in our neighborhood, but wherever we go.”

It has become a tradition for Primerica and The Primerica Foundation to select local nonprofits to support that help families meet critical needs, in the cities where leadership events are held.
