Primerica Turns Out for Great Days of Service 16 Years Running

A group of Primerica Home Office volunteers recently spent their workday beautifying the campus of a non-profit organization that serves disabled adults. The October 20 event was part of the annual Gwinnett Great Days of Service and was the 16th year Primerica has participated.

Great Days of Service is an annual program under the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services where local businesses and organizations choose a project and assemble a team of volunteers to address a specific need in the county.

This year, Primerica chose to volunteer at Creative Enterprises.

“Creative Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Lawrenceville, GA, dedicated to assisting adults with disabilities and others with barriers to employment in maximizing their potential,” Primerica programs and events coordinator Renee Carter said. “They offer a variety of programs and services to help individuals obtain an optimal level of social, vocational and economic independence.”

Carter said the tasks the 43 Primerica volunteers accomplished on site included rebuilding a sign in front of the facility, building benches and picnic tables, cleaning out a cat adoption room, painting exterior doors and loading dock rails, rebuilding raised bed gardens, assembling and installing shelving units, organizing the campus thrift store, installing clothing racks, laying pine straw, and performing general property clean up.

The work of the volunteers was recently featured in a Gwinnett Daily Post article.
