ABC Foundation

Atlanta Business Chronicle recently named The Primerica Foundation, our company’s philanthropic arm, as one of Georgia’s “Top Corporate Foundations” (the annual rankings are based on total giving). The Foundation is also celebrating its fifth anniversary of funding.

“The core of Primerica’s charitable funding and philanthropy is to support programs and nonprofits that help move families into self-sufficiency,” said Karen Fine Saltiel, Chairman of The Primerica Foundation. “We also fund programs and organizations that enhance our communities and the quality of life for all residents, because we believe in a holistic approach to achieving self-sufficiency.”

From 2011-2015, The Primerica Foundation funded 182 grants totaling over $4 million to nonprofits throughout the state of Georgia, Metro Atlanta and Gwinnett County. Program areas funded included arts and culture, community development, education and youth enrichment, financial literacy and self-sufficiency, and health and human services.

“The Primerica Foundation is only one part of our total community outreach,” Saltiel continued. “Primerica has a strong corporate giving program, our employee volunteer program is outstanding, and we’re engaged in several strategic community partnerships.”

commitment-to-greatness

Unreasonable Goals require an Unreasonable Commitment.

Leading up to the 2015 Convention, CEO Glenn Williams challenged all Primerica representatives to search deep inside their heads and their hearts to be crystal clear on their WHY. What was their reason for doing the Unreasonable?

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
— George Bernard Shaw

But it didn’t stop there. There’s power in putting something on display, so we built The Primerica Wall. Williams asked every attendee to bring a physical representation of their WHY to Atlanta and post it on The Wall.

Primerica representatives answered the call. By the end of Convention, they had covered almost 300 feet with inspirational images and declarations. It was the centerpiece of the exhibit area at Convention – and an incredible depiction of the fuel that drives our representatives to achieve more, help more families and do something Unreasonable.

To reach an Unreasonable Goal, you have to make an Unreasonable Commitment to WIN. At Saturday’s Closing Session at the 2015 Convention, Williams invited every Primerica representative in the Dome – as well as those not there – to send him their UNREASONABLE COMMITMENT. Thousands of commitments came pouring in!
