Primerica AALC Conference Raises $20,000 for Haiti Relief

In its second run at providing clean water and other relief to citizens of earthquake-ravaged Haiti, the organizers of the 2012 Primerica African American Leadership Council National Conference rallied the meeting’s more than 5,000 registered attendees to donate $20,000 to the this important cause.

Through its Lights on Haiti campaign, the organization accepted donations in exchange for a neon-colored flashlight to acknowledge those who are helping to keep a spotlight on an area that is still in desperate need of help. Because of contributions from the 2011 conference, Saint Pierre School in Mirebalais now has a water filtration system. The 1,050 student enrolled there can now drink clean water. Now, Children at Caprofors School, also in Mirebalais, will enjoy clean, safe water, as well.

The charitable efforts during the AALC National Conference are just a part of the weekend. Primerica representatives descended on Atlanta to participate in motivational workshops and performance recognition, too. As usual, representatives were inspired to register for the 2013 conference. Nearly 6,000 tickets have already been sold! For information on the Primerica African American Leadership Council, email [email protected].
